Torino are keen to sign Inter winger Valentino Lazaro after his impressive performances on loan this season, but it is likely to require some negotiation.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Austria international has proven to be a popular figure at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and has the backing of coach Ivan Juric, having registered impressive numbers with his crossing and dribbling.

The Granata currently have Lazaro until the end of the season and Inter agreed to insert a €4 million buyout clause in the deal to send him to Turin, and Torino may be willing to trigger this in the spring should he maintain his excellent form.

However, president Urbano Cairo is hoping to negotiate this price down and secure a discount to sign Lazaro outright, and there may be some scope to find a new agreement before the end of the season.

Inter have no intention of keeping Lazaro next season and he has no role to play within Simone Inzaghi’s squad, so their primary focus is raising cash through selling him.
