Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has named his squad for the club’s training camp in Malta this week, but there is no place for Joaquin Correa.

As reported by the club’s official website, Inter.it, the Nerazzurri flew out to Valletta today as a 27-man party, with Inzaghi selecting from a mixture of first team regulars and Primavera talents.

The coach did not have players who had been called up to the World Cup available to him, but much of the squad travelled, with Inter based in Malta until Friday and due to face Gzira United and Red Bull Salzburg in friendly matches.

Inzaghi has selected goalkeepers Samir Handanovic, Alex Cordaz, Gabriel Brazao, and Nikolaos Botis, whilst Milan Skriniar, Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni, and Alessandro Fontanarosa make up the central defenders.

The travelling wingbacks include Robin Gosens, Raoul Bellanova, and Federico Dimarco, whilst the senior midfielders and attackers who have travelled include Kristjan Asllani, Nicolò Barella, Roberto Gagliardini, Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Edin Dzeko.

Argentina international Joaquin Correa has not been deemed fit enough to travel after being ruled out of the World Cup, and will remain in Milan to work on his fitness with injured duo Matteo Darmian and Danilo D’Ambrosio.

Inzaghi has selected a further handful of academy prospects, with Valentin Carboni, Tommaso Guercio, Stefano Di Pentima, Aleksandar Stankovic, Nicolò Biral, Dennis Curatolo, Nikola Iliev, Andrea Pelamatti, Silas Andersen, and Jan Zuberek all travelling.
