The agent of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie has made clear that there are no official offers from Inter for his signature yet.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it, Hincapie’s agent Manuel Sierra explained that while there are a number of clubs interested in his signature, no official offers have yet arrived, and that he is currently focused on Bayer Leverkusen.

Hincapie has emerged as a possible target for Inter in the event that the Nerazzurri decide to reinforce their backline with a young defender proficient at playing on the left side of a back three.

The 20-year-old’s standout performances for the Ecuadorian national team at the World Cup in Qatar had marked him out as even being a possible replacement for Alessandro Bastoni should he depart.

Meanwhile, the likes of AC Milan and Roma are also reported to be keen.

However, as the defender’s agent explained, right now there is nothing more than initial interest, and no formal offers.

“Inter haven’t called me,” Sierra said.

“The player has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen, and at the moment he is getting along well there,” he added.

The agent noted that “It’s true that there’s a lot of interest in him, and we’re in talks with a lot of clubs, but at the moment there are no official offers for him.”
