The agent of defender Milan Skriniar is set to give his response to Inter’s contract extension offer for the player next week.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are currently awaiting a response to their offer of a deal worth €6 million net per season plus add-ons and that this should come this week.

The negotiations between Inter and Skriniar are currently on standby, having seriously started up at the end of October.

The talks had made serious progress as the squad dispersed for the World Cup break, but there is still some work to be done before the parties can fully come together on wages and add-ons.

Inter have made their existing offer clear to Skriniar and his representatives.

The Nerazzurri’s offer stands at around €6 million net per season for the Slovakian to extend his deal past the end of June 2023.

Skriniar’s agent should deliver a response next week.
