Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is hoping that he can have a successful 2023 along with the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, the 28-year-old outlined his ambition to fight for trophies over the rest of the club season.

Calhanoglu won two trophies with Inter in his first season at the club, in the form of the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia.

However, the Nerazzurri missed out on the Serie A title, losing out to city rivals and Calhanoglu’s former team AC Milan by just a couple of points.

Calhanoglu and Inter will have the chance to defend their Supercoppa title against the Rossoneri in January, whilst they will also begin their Coppa Italia campaign as they look to make it two in a row.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzzurri will be keen to catch up to Napoli at the top of the Serie A title, and Calhanoglu is hoping that he can win his first ever Serie A title over the rest of the campaign.

“There’s still a while to think about the match against Milan in January, but we definitely want to win trophies in 2023,” the midfielder said.
