Torino have reopened contacts with the representatives of Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini to sign the 28-year-old in June.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa, who report that the Granata would be ready to go head-to-head with Monza to sign the former Atalanta midfielder next summer.

Gagliardini is almost certainly set to leave Inter by the end of his current contract next summer at the very latest.

Torino have targeted the 28-year-old in the past, having contacted Inter about the possibility of signing him during the summer transfer window prior to this season.

Gagliardini stayed at Inter, but now that he looks set to leave at the end of the current campaign, the Granata are once again keen.

Ivan Juric’s side would like to add a player with as much Serie A experience as Gagliardini has, whilst his threat on set pieces is also something they are keen on adding next summer.

Monza have already shown a strong interest in signing Gagliardini, either in January or next June, but Torino would be ready to rival the Lombard club for his signature.
