Former Inter and Real Madrid striker Ivan Zamorano has revealed that he still shares a friendship with his former Nerazzurri teammates from the 1997-98 season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Radio, via FCInterNews, the Chilean explained that he is in a group chat with other former Nerazzurri players including Ronaldo and Javier Zanetti, and that they still joke around with one another.

Zamorano joined Inter in the summer of 1996.

The Chilean spent five memorable seasons wearing a Nerazzurri shirt, with one of the highlights coming in 1998 when he and his teammates won the UEFA Cup.

That win came in a 3-0 win over Lazio in the final, a match in which Zamorano scored the first goal.

Legendary former players Ronaldo and Zanetti also got on the scoresheet to complete the scoring, and as Zamorano revealed, the pair are among the players who he still keeps in contact with.

“I often talk to my former teammates from the 1997-98 season,” the former striker revealed, “we have a chat that we’re all in, from Ronaldo to Zanetti, and thenPagliuca and Djorkaeff, we share jokes with each other every day.”
