Inter are set to hold the decisive meeting in contract extension negotiations with defender Milan Skriniar next week.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who reported this afternoon via FCInterNews that the Nerrazzurri have scheduled talks that they expect to be decisive in agreeing a new deal with the Slovakian for after he and the team return from Malta.

Skriniar and the Nerazzurri’s squad not currently engaged at the World Cup or out injured or on vacation are in Malta right now for a training retreat.

However, the players are set to return ahead of the weekend.

Once Skriniar is back, the Nerazzurri will waste little time in holding another meeting regarding his prospective contract extension.

At this point, the club do not want to waste any more time in securing Skriniar’s future.

Accordingly, the club’s aim is to get the talks concluded once and for all in next week’s meeting.
