Juventus are thinking about moving to bring back CEO Beppe Marotta from Inter, although no contacts have started up with the executive yet.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, who report that the experienced executive would represent a major temptation for the Bianconeri as they seek to shake up their board of directors amid their ongoing legal troubles.

The Bianconeri are currently in the midst of legal troubles which have caused virtually the entire previous board to resign, and looking for a change in direction when they replace the old board.

One possible strategy could be to bring back a familiar face in the form of Marotta.

Marotta joined Inter as CEO of Sport in December of 2018, not long after he had resigned from Juventus.

The executive had been at Juventus for close to a decade, where he had been appointed as General Manager of Sport in 2010.

Marotta’s time at the Bianconeri had coincided with a record-breaking run of Serie A titles under coaches Antonio Conte and Max Allegri.

Meanwhile, the executive’s time in Turin frequently saw Juventus finish transfer windows with a positive balance sheet despite success on the pitch, a theme which has carried through his career including in his tenure as CEO at Inter.

For this reason, Juventus are considering trying to convince Marotta to return.

As of yet, however, no contacts have taken place between Juventus and Marotta regarding a possibility of leaving Inter to return to Turin.
