Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could be thinking of ways to revolutionize the team’s approach in attack now that Romelu Lukaku is back for the rest of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who suggest that the coach can build a team that utilizes Lukaku’s threat in behind defensive lines and on the counterattack, in contrast to how they’ve played with Edin Dzeko starting.

Lukaku has been absent for virtually the entire season so far for the Nerazzurri through injury.

However, the Belgian looks to have finally put his thigh strain and its lingering effects behind him.

Lukaku will have the few weeks before the resumption of the Serie A season to get back to full physical fitness.

Moreover, Inzaghi will have the chance to take the almost a month of time after the team return from their training retreat in Malta to get Lukaku up to speed with the team tactically, and to reshape the entire style of play around the Belgian’s qualities.

Accordingly, the coach is ready to finally implement his vision of a Nerazzurri attack which, rather than being based around the technical ability and physical holdup play of Edin Dzeko, capitalizes on Lukaku’s pace and movement behind defensive lines and running with the ball.
