The agent of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie feels that if the 20-year-old leaves his club, they will set a fair price for him, and that a move to Inter wouldn’t be out of the question by any means.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, Hincapie’s agent Manuel Sierra noted that as of yet there have been no contacts from the Nerazzurri, but that a move to a club like Inter would be welcome for the Nerazzurri.

Inter have been scouting a number of defenders in recent months, as they consider what the future of their backline will look like and search for reinforcements capable of playing in a back three.

Hincapie has proved to be proficient at exactly this, impressing for both Leverkusen and for the Ecuadorian national team at the World Cup in Qatar.

The 20-year-old was reported to be a name on Inter’s radar in a report by the Gazzetta dello Sport earlier this week.

Hincapie’s agent has shed some light on the Ecuadorian’s possible future, and on whether or not Inter would represent an option for him.

As far as whether Hincapie could leave Leverkusen during an upcoming transfer window, Sierra explained that “We don’t know yet, he’s one of the most important players in their team.”

“They’ll set what they deem to be a fair asking price for him,” the agent added, “but as of yet we haven’t spoken with them about it.”

As far as transfer links to Inter, he noted that “As of yet, no one from the club has called me.”

Sierra then noted that “Inter are a great club, never say never, they would represent an interesting possibility for him of course.”
