Inter attacking midfielder Valentin is glad to have the opportunity to play and train alongside experienced and top-quality players like Edin Dzeko.
Speaking to the press after the team’s 4-0 friendly win over Red Bull Salzburg, as reported by FCInterNews, the 17-year-old stressed that he is always learning things from working with players in the Nerazzurri’s senior squad.
Carboni has only just taken his first steps into Inter’s senior team.
After having shone with the Primavera team last season, the young Argentina has been given opportunities within the senior team.
So far, the 17-year-old has only had the chance to play as a substitute in Serie A and the Champions League, although he has had a prominent role in the two friendlies so far during the World Cup break.
However, the step up to working alongside the players in Inter’s senior squad has still been very beneficial for Carboni’s development.
Asked about playing alongside Dzeko, the Argentine said “It’s incredible, as with playing alongside my other teammates.”
“They’re all very good and I try to take something from them to add to my own game every day.”
Of his goal against Salzburg, Carboni said that “I’m very happy, also with having started in the last match.”
“Thanks to the coach, the staff, and my teammates,” he continued, “today I was given an opportunity again, I always try to make the most of the chances I have.”
“We give everything every day to be ready for whatever is to come.”
Of further opportunities in the senior team going forward, Carboni said that “If I work hard in training, good things can happen.”
