Inter are not currently likely to sign midfielder Yunus Musah from Valencia.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the likely price tag for the 20-year-old and the fact that he would not come into the Nerazzurri’s midfield starter at the moment mean that he is not currently a target.

Inter have been linked to Musah in reports within Italian media over the past couple of weeks.

The US international has even been named as a possible target to replace Roberto Gagliardini who is expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of June 2023, at the latest.

However, FCInterNews report that the financial side of such a deal would be infeasible for the Nerazzurri.

Valencia have already been probed by Premier League side Arsenal regarding Musah, and made clear that they planned to reject the Gunners’ offer in January.

Considering this, a deal for the 20-year-old would not be within Inter’s reach.

Valencia would likely set an asking price of around €20-25 million for Musah.

This would be more than Inter would be ready to invest in a player who would only be signed to reinforce the depth of their midfield rather than coming in as a starter.

Given that the likes of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Marcelo Brozovic, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are all already at the club, in addition to Kristjan Asllani, there is little chance of Musah being a target.
