Inter have yet to make a final decision on whether or not to sign wingback Raoul Bellanova permanently from Cagliari when his loan spell ends at the end of the current season.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri’s decision could be based on whether or not they want to allocate money to other transfer business rather than paying the fee to sign the 22-year-old permanently from the Rossoblu.

Bellanova is currently only at Inter on loan from Cagliari.

The loan deal between Inter and the Sardinian club contains a purchase option for the Nerazzurri to sign the wingback on a permanent basis for a fee of around €10 million.

However, there is no clause making Bellanova’s eventual permanent transfer mandatory.

The Nerazzurri will evaluate the 22-year-old’s progress in the team over the second part of the season, and this will play a role in their decision on whether or not to sign him permanently.

Meanwhile, Inter will also be considering their overall transfer strategy in the decision.

If it is decided that the money that would go towards the fee to sign Bellanova permanently could be better spent reinforcing other positions within the team, then the Nerazzurri could decide against bringing him in next summer.
