Inter are still thinking about a January move for Borussia Monchengladbach in order to beat the significant competition for his signature.

This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri are still considering trying to bring the 25-year-old during the January transfer window, but only in the event that a sale is made first.

Inter are well aware that they will face significant competition to sign Thuram.

The Frenchman is a target for top clubs around Europe, including Bayern Munich who would like to keep him within the Bundesliga.

The Nerazzurri had already spoken with Thuram’s representatives regarding the possibility of a January move.

A transfer for the Frenchman during the January window would be unlikely considering that his aim is not to move clubs then, but the Nerazzurri haven’t given up hope.

Inter would have to first make a sale in order to raise funds to sign Thuram for a fee in January, however.
