Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is set to once again be left out of the Argentine national team’s starting eleven in their World Cup quarterfinal clash with the Netherlands this evening.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 25-year-old is likely to start on the bench once again, with Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez once again starting in his place.

Martinez had started both of Argentina’s opening two group stage matches in Qatar, a loss to Saudi Arabia and a win over Mexico.

However, the 25-year-old has been on the bench for the Albiceleste’s third and final group stage match against Poland, and their round of sixteen win over Australia.

Man City striker Alvarez took Martinez’s place in both of those matches, and is likely to do so once again against the Netherlands.

The complete predicted eleven for the match is as follows:

Argentina (4-2-3-1): E. Martinez; Montiel, Romero, Otamendi, Tagliafico; De Paul, Fernandez; Di Maria, Messi, Mac Allister; Alvarez.
