Inter are set to hold the decisive meeting in contract extension negotiations with defender Milan Skriniar and his representatives next week.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the club are aiming to get the talks wrapped up by next week after a delay of a few weeks.

Inter had been pushing to get an agreement wrapped up with Skriniar on a new deal by November 13, the date of the team’s final match before the World Cup break against Atalanta.

However, the player and his representatives decided to take a little more time.

The will of both Inter and Skriniar has always been strongly oriented towards continuing on together.

However, given that the Nerazzurri’s offer has stood at €6 million net per season plus add-ons, whilst the player and his representatives have been aiming for €7 million net per season, the player and his representatives decided to wait.

According to Tuttosport, the delay should not be too much longer, however.

There should be a meeting to take place next week, which is likely to be the decisive one in wrapping up talks between Inter and Skriniar.
