Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has given further confirmation that Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has no plans of leaving the Nerazzurri despite links to a return to Juventus.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Telelombardia, via FCInterNews, the journalist explained that he asked the Nerazzurri executive about it personally, and in response got a reaffirmation of his commitment to his current club.

Marotta’s name has been rumoured to be in the mix for a spot on Juventus’s new board of directors.

The Bianconeri will have to decide upon a new board to replace the previous board who resigned en masse, and are set to meet for this purpose in January.

The Marotta connection is a natural one in some respects, given that the current Nerazzurri executive spent nearly a decade as the General Manager of Sport for the Bianconeri.

However, from Biasin’s point of view, there is little actual substance to the links, as even if the Bianconeri are to be keen on bringing Marotta back, the CEO himself has no intention of leaving Inter.

“Faced with dozens of Inter fans who asked me about Marotta’s future, I took the liberty of asking the person concerned straight up, ‘Director, is there really the possibility that you could return to Juventus?'” Biasin explained.

“The answer was, ‘Absolutely not’.”

“And he also sent me a Nerazzurri flag,” Biasin noted.

“Then we continued to chat, and I can assure you that he was speaking completely honestly.”
