Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is back in training with the Nerazzurri where he is aiming to start building up his confidence and match fitness.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old wants to get back into his rhythm for the return of the Serie A season after looking a shadow of himself with Belgium at the World Cup in Qatar.

Lukaku made two substitute appearances for Belgium at the World Cup, in a loss to Morocco and a draw against Croatia.

The 29-year-old was unable to score or assist a goal as the Red Devils crashed out of the tournament at the group stage.

This made clear the scope of the striker’s task if he is to make the kind of impact he wants to for Inter over the rest of the club season which resumes next month.

Accordingly, today will be the first day of an intense training program for Lukaku to try and reach his very best form after so long struggling with injury and fitness issues.
