Inter are guaranteed to have a player in the 2022 World Cup final, as they continue an incredible streak of doing so stretching back to 1982.

As reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri will have a representative on the pitch for the final in Doha next Sunday due to Argentina meeting Croatia in the semi-final.

It means that either striker Lautaro Martinez and his Argentine teammates, or Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will make it to the last game of the tournament.

Inter have had at least one of their players in every World Cup final for the past 10 editions, and this is now set to extend to 11.

The winner of the Argentina vs Croatia match will face one of France or Morocco in the final, and from this side of the draw Bayern Munich will also extend their streak, which is equal to that of Inter.

France centre-back Dayot Upamecano currently plays for the Bundesliga club, whilst Moroccan full-back Noussair Mazraoui joined Bayern from Ajax in the summer.
