Inter are no longer as determined to find a new left-sided wingback and ready to maintain their faith in Robin Gosens, according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi.

Speaking on his YouTube channel earlier today, the Sport Mediaset journalist claimed that Inter were likely to be left disappointed in their pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach defender Ramy Bensebaini, which could in turn have a knock-on effect on Gosens future.

The Algeria international is out of contract in the summer and Inter had been linked with him, but it appears that he is set to remain in the Bundesliga and move to Borussia Dortmund instead.

Dortmund are in the market for a left-back due to the expiring contract of Portugal international Raphael Guerreiro, and Barzaghi suggested that they would pip Inter to Bensebaini’s signature.

However, he went on to argue that the Nerazzurri were happy with Gosens and were ready to put their trust in him to challenge Federico Dimarco for a starting position, making his exit in January less likely than initially thought.
