Inter are facing increasing interest in centre-back Milan Skriniar, with Premier League club Newcastle United keen on signing him this season.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Slovakia international is being pursued by the Magpies, as well as French champions Paris Saint-Germain, as he approaches the final months of his contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Whilst Inter are keen to extend Skriniar’s deal and hope to reach a positive conclusion with him in the coming weeks, they are facing the threat of losing him for free next summer.

PSG have long been linked with the former Sampdoria defender, and Newcastle’s interest could be a further test of his resolve in committing his future to Inter.

Backed by considerable wealth and currently sitting in third place in the Premier League, Newcastle would be able to offer Skriniar wages far in excess of Inter, and the lack of a transfer fee in the summer will only exacerbate this.

Skriniar joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2017 and has made 236 appearances for the Nerazzurri, helping them to win the Scudetto in 2021.
