Inter are looking at Hellas Verona wingback Josh Doig as a possible replacement for Robin Gosens in the event that the German is sold.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the 20-year-old is on the Nerazzurri’s radar as they search for a left-sided wingback for the possibility of Gosens departing.

Doig has replaced in his first season in Serie A, having signed for Verona from Hibernian during the summer transfer window.

The young Scot’s form for the Gialloblu has already attracted some major transfer interest, with the likes of Roma, Lazio, Napoli, Atalanta, and Bologna all tracking him.

According to Calciomercato, Inter are also among the clubs who are monitoring Doig with a view to a possible transfer.

The long-term future of Gosens in Milan remains uncertain given that the 28-year-old is still behind Federico Dimarco in the pecking order on the left flank, and Doig could be brought in to replace him if he were to leave.
