Reggina coach and former AC Milan and Juventus striker Pippo Inzaghi feels that he has always had a close relationship with his brother and current Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, the coach gave insight into his relationship with his brother.

The two Inzaghi brothers have always followed parallel paths within Italian football.

Pippo established himself as one of Serie A’s top strikers, winning the Scudetto and the Champions League with the Rossoneri.

Simone was not far behind him, spending the bulk of his own playing career with Lazio, where he also won the Scudetto.

Both brothers moved into coaching, with Pippo having spells in charge of Milan, Benevento, and Brescia, whilst Simone took over at the Biancocelesti starting from the youth teams.

Now, Simone has been head coach of Inter since the summer of 2021, whilst Pippo is in charge of Reggina, with the Calabrians chasing promotion from Serie B where they currently sit second in the table.

“Simone certainly has a lot more tension to deal with than me,” Pippo admitted of the Nerazzurri coach, “coaching a team of that calibre.”

“What saves us both is the passion for our job.”

“Our parents forced us both to study, giving us excellent teachings.”

“We are a close-knit duo, both raised with love,” Pippo said of he and Simone.
