Reggina Sporting Director Massimo Taibi feels that the focus for young Inter-owned midfielder Giovanni Fabbian should be on the present rather than the future.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews, the Sporting Director emphasized that for now the focus should be on the 19-year-old keeping his form up on his loan spell with the Serie B side, and then dealing with what comes next in due course.

Fabbian’s excellent form for Serie B promotion hopefuls Reggina has meant that speculation around the 19-year-old’s future has emerged.

A future in the Nerazzurri’s first team may not be too far away for the midfielder, whilst another loan move or even a permanent transfer could be on the horizon given that he already looks ready for top flight football in the eyes of many.

In Taibi’s view, however, all of this is only speculation for the future, as for now Fabbian plays for Reggina and there is still a long season ahead.

Asked if Fabbian will be useful for Inter, the Sporting Director replied that “It’s still early, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, he’s still playing for us on loan.”
