Inter-linked defender Mouctar Diakhaby is looking increasingly unlikely to extend his contract with La Liga side Valencia, and could be available on a free transfer next summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, via FCInterNews, who report that the 25-year-old has not accepted any of the Spanish team’s offers so far, and that they are struggling to convince him to sign a new deal.

Diakhaby’s current contract with Valencia is set to run out at the end of June 2023.

This has marked the Guinean international out as a possible target for Inter.

The Nerazzurri have been following the contract situation of Diakhaby at Valencia, with a view to a possible move for him on a free transfer at the end of the current season.

Inter could get a boost in their pursuit of the Guinean, as it is looking increasingly unlikely that contract extension talks between the Guinean and Valencia will lead to an agreement.
