Inter CEO Beppe Marotta will be hoping that he can take advantage of the positive relationship that exists with Atalanta in order to complete a swap deal involving midfielder Giovanni Fabbian and defender Giorgio Scalvini next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri CEO wants to work out a deal to beat some significant competition to the signature of Scalvini.

Defender Scalvini’s value has risen throughout the season as his performances have continued to impress.

The 19-year-old looks to have potentially gone from being worth €30 million to as much as €40 million.

This price tag is only solidified by the fact that some of Europe’s biggest clubs have shown an interest in signing Scalvini.

However, Marotta has a plan to try and get a deal done for the 19-year-old ahead of the competition.

Young midfielder Fabbian is another player who has been impressing this season, with the teenager experiencing his first season in the senior professional game on loan at Reggina in Serie B after shining with the Nerazzurri’s Primavera team.

The 19-year-old midfielder’s form with Reggina has attracted the attention of Atalanta, who are interested in signing him.

Marotta is hopeful that the relationship between the Nerazzurri and La Dea will allow a deal involving Scalvini and Fabbian to be worked out, given that Scalvini has become a major transfer target for him.
