Inter and Napoli are both targeting young Empoli midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 19-year-old has emerged as a target for both the Nerazzurri and the Partenopei.

Baldanzi has made just six appearances for Empoli this season.

However, the young midfielder has already found the back of the net twice for the Tuscans, and could be set for a more prominent role over the rest of the campaign.

Accordingly, Baldanzi is starting to earn a similar reputation to midfielder Kristjan Asllani, who signed for Inter in the summer after exploding in form for Empoli over the back half of last season.

Like Asllani, Baldanzi’s reputation outweighs the number of appearances he has made so far.

Inter are considering the possibility of moving for the 19-year-old in a similar move to the transfer of Asllani in the summer, whilst Napoli are also eyeing the midfielder up.
