Former AC Milan defender Daniele Daino is hoping that the Serie A title race can become more competitive over the second part of the season.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Daino emphasized the view that he hopes Inter, Milan, and Juventus can start to push Napoli so that the title race becomes more entertaining as the season gets closer to its climax.

As things stand, Napoli have a substantial advantage over all of their major rivals in the Serie A title race.

The Partenopei sit eight points clear of Milan, ten of Juventus, and eleven points above Inter in the table after fifteen matches played.

Inter will already have the chance to reduce that gap to eight in their first match back from the World Cup break against the league leaders, and at the same time do a favour for the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri.

Daino gave the view that “For the sake of having a good title race, I hope that Inter, Milan, and Juventus can give some real competition to Napoli.”
