Former Juventus and Genoa goalkeeper Rubinho feels that the best thing for Inter-owned goalkeeper Andrei Radu would be to a move to a club outside of Italy.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, via FCInter1908, the Brazilian stressed that within Italian football, criticism can be hard to get past, and so a fresh start would help the Romanian take his next steps.

Radu has shown plenty of quality in various loan spells from Inter, but for many, is most closely identified with a couple of high-profile error.

The Romanian’s howler in possession to gift Bologna a winning goal last April became a symbol of the match that saw the Nerazzurri effectively let the Serie A title slip from their grasp.

Meanwhile, Radu is also remembered for a poor attempt to claim a cross that led to Cremonese losing his very first match on loan with the club, even in spite of the fact that he put in a string of solid performances after that.

Rubinho gave the view that “Radu has to move to a team abroad, here it is too difficult to live down criticism.”

“He should move to a team where he can play with peace of mind,” the former keeper stressed.
