Inter will be without striker Romelu Lukaku or goalkeeper Andre Onana when they travel to Spain to take on La Liga club Real Betis in a friendly this evening.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri have travelled to Seville without Lukaku and Onana, with the duo left behind in Milan to continue their fitness programmes.

Lukaku returned to Inter from international duty after representing Belgium at the 2022 World Cup, whilst Onana was included in Cameroon’s squad, and though both teams were eliminated in the group stages, the players are not fully up to speed.

The pair are expected to be available for the friendly against Serie B club Reggina on Thursday, as they work towards being fit for the return to competitive action against Napoli on 4 January.

Forward Joaquin Correa has not travelled with the squad either as he steps up his recovery, whilst defenders Danilo D’Ambrosio and Mattia Zanotti are not deemed fit enough to take part either.
