Inter wingback Raoul Bellanova is battling to earn a starting spot for today’s friendly match against Real Betis, as he seeks to prove his worth to the club.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the 22-year-old is determined to remain at Inter following the conclusion of his loan spell from Cagliari, and the clash against Betis is an opportunity to show what he can do against strong opposition.

The Nerazzurri have the option to sign Bellanova on a permanent deal for €7 million at the end of the season, but are yet to decide on if this should be triggered.

However, coach Simone Inzaghi is still weighing up who to start in the position against Betis, with Matteo Darmian pushing for an appearance after recently recovering from injury.

Elsewhere, former Roma pair Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will lead the line in attack, whilst Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella are certainties in midfield.

The remainder of the midfield will be made up of either Kristjan Asllani or Roberto Gagliardini in the centre, with Inzaghi to opt for either Federico Dimarco or Robin Gosens on the left flank.

Samir Handanovic will start in goal, behind a defence of Milan Skriniar, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni.
