Inter are keeping a close watch on Fabiano Parisi, but face a battle to convince Empoli to sell the left-back in the January transfer window.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the Nerazzurri have been impressed with the form of the 22-year-old this season and see him as a potential alternative to Federico Dimarco on the left flank, particularly with doubts surrounding the future of Robin Gosens.

Empoli have made clear that they have no intention of losing him in the middle of the season and will only allow him to depart in the summer, but Inter are hoping to move ahead of the competition.

This could see the Nerazzurri agree to buy Parisi in January and immediately loan him back to the Tuscan club to see out the campaign, but it would take a bid of at least €15 million for Empoli to agree to a sale.

Inter are set to face competition from Ligue 1 club Nice and Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg for Parisi, and this is prompting them to move quickly.
