Juventus are doing everything in their power to convince Inter CEO Beppe Marotta to leave the Nerazzurri and return to his former club, according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi.

Marotta left Juventus in October 2018 and took up the directorial role at Inter in December of the same year, enjoying success as the Nerazzurri won the Scudetto in 2021.

However, with Juventus in turmoil following the mass resignations of their entire board, Sport Mediaset journalist Barzaghi revealed in a video posted on his YouTube channel yesterday that the Bianconeri are determined to rehire Marotta.

“I keep hearing and getting reports that Juve are really doing everything to try to convince Marotta,” Barzaghi claimed.

However, the journalist also went on to state that Marotta had thus far shown little interest in quitting the Nerazzurri and returning to Juventus.

“He has declared some very firm words, but we register these really important attempts from Turin, where they would like the man considered the top Italian director to work there again.

“They are trying hard to convince him despite his fresh contract renewal and his words in favour of remaining,” he concluded.

Marotta oversaw a period of immense success for Juventus after being hired in May 2010, with the majority of the Bianconeri’s nine league titles in a row won whilst he was at the helm.
