Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is happy to have reached the semifinals at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and won the third-place playoff, even if it was not quite the best result.

Speaking to journalists, via FCInterNews, the 30-year-old gave his reaction to the Vatreni’s performance at the biggest tournament in international football, and also looked ahead to the possibility of winning a trophy in the Nations League.

Just as he had done in 2018, Brozovic played a key role in Croatia’s journey deep into the knockout rounds at the World Cup.

This time around, the country was unable to get as far as the final, although a semifinal appearance still more than showed the quality that they have.

Even if there is naturally some disappointment that the team couldn’t take the extra step, for his part Brozovic isn’t feeling regret, and is happy with how things have gone at the tournament.

“I have no regrets for the results that we achieved, even if we could’ve gone even further,” he reflected.

“Now hopefully there will be a similar party if we win the Nations League in June.”
