Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is expected back in training after December 26.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old will be granted a short vacation after the FIFA World Cup and then be expected back in training not long after Christmas.
Brozovic reached the semifinals of the World Cup in Qatar with Croatia, although the Inter midfielder did not play in the third place playoff win over Morocco.
However, the 30-year-old had been virtually everpresent in all of Croatia’s matches up until the semifinal loss to Argentina in which he was taken off early in the second half as a fitness precaution.
Given his exertions in the deep run into the tournament in Qatar, Brozovic will be granted a short vacation before he is expected to make his return to Inter training.
According to Tuttosport, Brozovic’s return should come shortly after December 26.
