Inter-owned striker Sebastiano Esposito could stay on loan at Anderlecht for the rest of the season rather than finding a new loan club for the remainder of the campaign.

This according to Belgian news outlet HLN, via FCInter1908, who report that the appointment of Brian Riemer as head coach of the Belgian team could mean that the Nerazzurri striker has another chance to cement a place for himself.

Esposito has found playing time hard to come by at Anderlecht over the first part of the campaign.

The 20-year-old has fallen behind other forwards in the pecking order, and has played a total of just 751 minutes over the campaign to date.

However, this has all come under previous head coach Felice Mazzu, who did not appear to totally trust Esposito in his attacking lineup.

Accordingly, the replacement of Mazzu with new coach Riemer could change the situation.

It had previously looked inevitable that a new loan club would be found for Esposito over the remainder of the current season, potentially in Italy.

However, according to HLN, the appointment of Riemer at Anderlecht could mean that the Nerazzurri-owned striker will have another chance in Belgium.
