Inter are keen to extend the contract of striker Edin Dzeko, but are less certain about what they plan to do regarding the situations of wingback Matteo Darmian, defender Danilo D’Ambrosio, and captain Samir Handanovic.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri could decide against offering new deals to the latter trio as they seek to freshen up the squad.
As far as Dzeko is concerned, the feeling within Inter is that the 36-year-old has more than proven this season that he would be worthy of a contract extension past the end of June 2023.
Accordingly, the club are working to try and agree a new deal with the Bosnian.
However, the Nerazzurri are not yet sure of what they plan to do regarding the situations of Darmian, D’Ambrosio, and Handanovic according to the Corriere della Sera.
All three see their current contracts run out at the end of June 2023 as Dzeko does, but unlike with the Bosnian, the club have not yet taken a clear decision to try and agree new deals with them.
