Inter are starting to lose the element of time in contract extension talks with defender Milan Skriniar as the January transfer window gets closer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who reported this afternoon that the Nerazzurri are increasingly feeling that time isn’t on their side as they haven’t yet agreed a new deal with the Slovakian.

Inter have been in active talks with Skriniar and his representatives for almost two months, with their offer having been on the table for some time.

The Nerazzurri have been waiting for the 27-year-old former Sampdoria defender’s response to arrive, but as of yet there have been no decisive breakthroughs in negotiations one way or the other.

Whereas a few weeks ago Inter could count on the element of time to remain quite calm regarding the negotiations, each moment that passes closer to the January window and then the end of the season could make talks more difficult.
