Inter Meet With Atalanta Defender Giorgio Scalvini’s Agents To Make Their Interest Clear, Italian Media Report

Inter have met with the agents of Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini to make their interest in signing the 19-year-old clear.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri would see the €40 million-rated defender as a possible investment to replace Milan Skriniar, and that midfielder Giovanni Fabbian could be offered as part of a deal for him.

Scalvini is a player very much on Inter’s radar, and the Nerazzurri have met with his agents with the intention of setting up talks towards a potential move.

The 19-year-old would not come cheap, as Atalanta value him at around €40 million based on his outstanding form so far this season.

However, La Dea have shown an interest in Nerazzurri midfielder Fabbian, currently on loan at Reggina.

Given that Inter sold midfielder Cesare Casadei to Chelsea for €14 million plus add-ons in the summer, and Fabbian is rated similarly to Casadei, he could be offered to meet a big chunk of the price tag for Scalvini.
