Inter are working to agree a new two-year deal with wingback Matteo Darmian.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported this afternoon via FCInterNews that the Nerazzurri have been in contact with the 33-year-old’s representatives recently regarding a possible contract extension.
Darmian’s current contract with the Nerazzurri is set to run out at the end of June 2023.
However, the former Manchester United, Parma, and Torino wingback would be happy to stay on at the club.
Inter have shown a willingness to offer Darmian a new deal, and have been in talks with the player’s representatives to exactly this end.
According to Sky, there have been new contacts with the wingback’s agents in the last day or so.
The idea that has emerged from talks between Inter and Darmian would be that of a possible two-year contract extension, and this is what the club look to be working towards.
