Inter forward Joaquin Correa and defender Danilo D’Ambrosio could be back in training shortly after Christmas.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair are still working separately from the rest of the squad, but that they could rejoin full training after Christmas.

Both Correa and D’Ambrosio have been working apart from the group for the past several weeks, as both of the duo work to put injuries behind them.

D’Ambrosio is still recovering from the muscle problem that caused the 33-year-old to miss out on the team’s last few matches heading into the World Cup break.

Meanwhile, Correa is recovering from the Achilles tendon problem which caused him to be left out of the Argentine national team’s squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

In both cases, the players are still working alone on their recovery, but there is a good chance that they will be back in training after Christmas, giving them time to prepare to be available when the Serie A season resumes in January.
