Atalanta are keen to try and sign Inter midfielder Giovanni Fabbian, who the Nerazzurri would aim to bring in a fee for at least as large as that which they sold Cesare Casadei to Chelsea for.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri would not likely let the 19-year-old leave for any less than the €14 million plus add-ons that they sold Casadei for.

Fabbian’s form on loan at Reggina in Serie B has begun to attract transfer interest.

Atalanta have emerged as one of the youngster’s primary suitors at this stage, although transfer interest is also growing from other clubs in Italy and abroad.

According to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have set the fee they received for Casadei as a benchmark.

The 19-year-old left for the Premier League for a fee of €14 million plus add-ons, and Inter would not be keen to sell Fabbian for any less.
