Inter and Matteo Darmian are both inclined to try and agree a new two-year contract.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported this afternoon via FCInterNews that the will on both sides of the contract talks between the Nerazzurri and Darmian is to agree a two-year deal.
Darmian’s current contract with Inter is set to run out at the end of June 2023, but the talks have begun on a possible extension.
On the part of the club, Darmian is still seen as a reliable member of the squad, and so they would be keen to keep the former Manchester United, Torino, and Parma player past the end of the current season.
Meanwhile, on the player’s part, he would like to stay.
According to Sky, both Inter and Darmian are inclined towards agreeing a new two-year deal for the 33-year-old, with negotiations set to continue along these lines.
