Inter are set to meet with defender Danilo D’Ambrosio to begin contract extension talks soon.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported this afternoon via FCInterNews that the Nerazzurri will open talks with the 34-year-old and his representatives in the near future.

As things stand, D’Ambrosio’s contract with Inter is set to run out at the end of June 2023.

The former Torino defender signed a one-year contract extension during the summer prior to this season.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Nerazzurri and D’Ambrosio will agree a new deal to keep him past the end of his current campaign.

However, for the club’s part, they are ready to at least hold talks with D’Ambrosio and his representatives to see if an extension can be negotiated.

According to Sky, the club are planning to meet with the player and his representatives not far on the horizon.
