Newcastle United have offered Borussia Monchengladbach €10 million to sign Inter-linked striker Marcus Thuram during the January transfer window.

This according to German news outlet Sports Bild, via L’Interista, who report that the Magpies have joined the race to sign the 25-year-old Nerazzurri target, and that they would be keen to get a deal wrapped up next month.

Inter have made Thuram one of their priority targets in attack, for either next summer on a free transfer next summer or for a fee during the January window.

There has been no shortage of competition for the Frenchman’s signature, with clubs from the Bundesliga, the Premier League, and La Liga linked.

According to Bild, the field has gotten even more crowded, with Newcastle keen on signing Thuram.

The Tyneside club have offered Gladbach €10 million to try and sign the 25-year-old immediately in January, although it remains to be seen if the Bundesliga side or the player would be ready to accept their offer.
