The interest of Paris Saint-Germain is not the reason for Inter defender Milan Skriniar delaying his response to the Nerazzurri’s contract extension offer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, via FCInter1908, who report that the Slovakian is still reflecting on his future, and that the question of whether he expects Inter to be competitive going forward is a major reason he has not yet decided.

Skriniar’s response to Inter’s contract extension offer has still not arrived.

The Nerazzurri’s offer has been on the table for some weeks, but the 27-year-old and his representatives continue to mull it over.

The fact that PSG are as keen as ever to sign the former Sampdoria after having missed out in the summer is in the background.

However, according to Il Giorno, Skriniar’s reflections are not based on the fact that he could obviously sign for PSG or another big club if he does not accept Inter’s offer.

Rather, he has always been well aware of this fact, but is concentrating on whether or not he wants his future to be at Inter.
