Inter striker Romelu Lukaku will be fit to start in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Napoli at the start of next month.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who reported earlier this evening that the Belgian would be a candidate to start alongside Edin Dzeko when the Nerazzurri host the Partenopei, whilst Henrikh Mkhitaryan could also start in attack.

Dzeko is likely to start for Inter in their first match back following the World Cup break, a massively important head-to-head match against Serie A leaders Napoli.

Lukaku is working to be at his best in time for that match, and based on the progress that the Belgian is showing, there is little doubt that he will be ready to be in the starting eleven to face the Partenopei.

Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez will return to training from winning the World Cup with Argentina shortly after Christmas.

Joaquin Correa is also expected back in training not long after Christmas, as he is still recovering from an injury.
