Barcelona President Joan Laporta expects that there is little chance of Inter-linked midfielder Franck Kessie leaving during the January transfer window.
Speaking to the Blaugranas’ official channel, via FCInterNews, the President made clear that he and the club have no intention of selling the 25-year-old next month.
Kessie has emerged as a possible target for Inter on the basis that the Ivorian former AC Milan midfielder has been linked with an exit from Barcelona due to a relative lack of playing time he has received this season.
The former Rossoneri has been linked with a possible Inter move for next summer, but some reports have even suggested that a move in January could be a possibility.
According to Barcelona President Laporta, however, a move to Inter or otherwise would not be on the table for January.
The Blaugranas President has no intention of selling the 25-year-old next month.
“I don’t have any intention of selling Kessie in January,” he said, “he will continue to be important for us.”
“We’re happy with our squad,” Laporta added, “the players will continue to be important over the rest of the season.”
