Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga feels that there will be questions around both of the Nerazzurri’s main strikers for the team’s Serie A clash with Napoli at the start of January.

Speaking to Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNerws, the former keeper noted that both Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez may not be going into that match in their best condition for different reasons.

Inter will face potentially one of the most important matches of the rest of their season when they go up against Napoli on January 4.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri will be hoping that they can be at something close to full strength to face the Partenopei.

There is no guarantee of this, however, particularly in attack.

Lukaku has yet to reach his best form this season, whilst Martinez will be coming back with only a short window of time to regain his best following his participation at the World Cup with Argentina.

“The title race will start up again when Inter face Napoli,” Zenga said, “but they’ll do so with Lukaku who’s barely played this season, and only scraps at the World Cup, and then Lautaro who’s still on the bus.”
